The APU is an Adjustable Posterior Upright design that provides the clinician with a more precise, simplified and calibrated method of setting the optimal dorsi/plantarflexion angle. Exact prescribed adjustments can be made in the clinical setting without special tools – allowing you to lay the ankle wherever you want it.

Description
The APU is an Adjustable Posterior Upright design that provides the clinician with a more precise, simplified and calibrated method of setting the optimal dorsi/plantarflexion angle.
Exact prescribed adjustments can be made in the clinical setting without special tools – allowing you to lay the ankle wherever you want it, up to 20° dorsiflexion or plantarflexion up to 40°.
Designed for recumbent or ambulant protection of the heel and foot against pressure sores whilst also resisting the development of plantarflexion contractures, both of which can make a huge difference to the patient’s rehabilitation. Inversion or eversion of the foot can be controlled using the malleable aluminium rotation bar.
The aluminium heel connecting bar can be custom contoured to accommodate the individual patient’s foot/ankle position.
Fully adjustable in height and length, the PRAFO® 652 SKG APU will fit any patient with a custom-like fitting.
