The Cruciform Anterior Spinal Hyperextension Orthosis (CASH) is a lightweight orthosis which limits flexion/extension and helps to stabilise the spine.
The brace has a cross-like structure with hinged sternal and pubic pads and a posterior pad constructed of aluminium and polyethylene. Alternative version with pectoral pads instead of sternal also available.
Suitable for long-term use in the case of progressive degenerative illnesses.
One size fits all.
Indications
Kyphosis in Osteoporosis
Thoracic vertebral body fractures (anterior compression fractures)
Progressive degenerative illness (Suitable for long-term use)
Post-surgery/trauma
Contra indicated in 3-column fractures and compression fractures due to OA
